Why is giving to St Mary's Church so important?

We give out of gratitude to God and as part of our worship. We give as an expression of our commitment to Christ and to encourage others to join us in the Gospel ministry. We give in order to serve the community both in Swynnerton, Yarnfield, Cotes Heath and beyond.

How can I give to St Mary's?
We encourage our members to give proportionally according to their means and regularly so that we can monitor our budget.

Monthly Standing Order
Most members of St Mary's give by standing order through their bank. It gives the church a regular income and we get back a percentage of tax you have paid, if you are able to Gift Aid.  You should download the forms below and return them to us. For further information about how to do this, and about regular giving, contact our treasurer Val Adams.  Send Val a message

Gift Aid
Under the Inland Revenue's Gift Aid scheme, St Mary's is entitled to reclaim the basic rate of tax on gifts by UK taxpayers. This means that, if you are a UK taxpayer, your gift will increase at no extra cost to you.
Thinking about life after death should not be difficult for Christians! So why not leave part of your estate to the church? We promise we will try to use your gift to make a difference in an area of church life which was of interest to you (eg children, buildings, music).

Children & Families Work
This fund pays for our part-time children & families minister who leads our after-school at Springfields School and supports our children’s work on Sundays as well as our two mid-week youth groups. It is essential that this continues as a strategic outreach to young families as well as nurturing Christian faith with children and young people.
If you would like to regularly contribute or make a donation to this fund then please contact Val Adams.  Send Val a message

Growing our buildings appeal
This is an exciting time at St Mary's as more and more people of all ages are worshipping with us. So we need to improve and reorder our church and vestry to improve our worship spaces, provide toilet and refreshment areas and spaces for catering for a creche and teaching children and young people. This is likely to cost around £100,000 and it would be wonderful if you are able to support this appeal.

"Each one should give, then, as he has decided, not with regret or out of a sense of duty, for God loves the one who gives gladly. And God is able to give you more than you need, so that you will always have all you need for yourselves and more than enough for every good cause.”
2 Corinthians 9:7
