It’s been some time since St Mary’s church, Swynnerton had a Summer Fair, but everyone agreed that they had had a fun time.  About two hundred people spent the afternoon in sunshine at the village hall enjoying food and chat, and a browse around the stalls.  The hog roast was delicious – so good we could have sold twice the number.

Later on, the cream teas with scones, cakes and a cuppa were really tasty and enjoyed by lots of people.  There was the chance of winning on the raffle and tombola, and lots of items on the bric-a-brac stall to sort through.  The children played games outside, decorating cakes and playing badminton.

And for those who could remember them, the star of the show was a Green Goddess Fire Engine from the sixties in perfect condition.  Click on the photos for more detail.
